New journeys for Saturn trio

The directing trio behind 2008 animation film Journey to Saturn are back behind the camera for two separate features.
Thorbjørn Christoffersen and Kresten Vestbjerg Andersen have teamed up with producers Trine Heidegaard and Philip Einstein Lipski on the new 3D animation film Ronal Barbaren (“Ronal the Barbarian”), the first project produced by their newly created Einstein Film. The two directors and Heidegaard previously collaborated on successful animated titles Terkel in Trouble [+see also:

film profile] and Journey to Saturn.
Meanwhile, Craig Frank, the third co-director of Journey to Saturn, is busy filming his own project, Jensen & Jensen, an animated comedy set in 2019. The film produced by Jonas Allen and Peter Bose for Miso Film was awarded DKK4.8m (€645,000) in production support from the Danish Film Institute, while Ronal Barbaren received DKK5.5m (€740,000).
Both films will be delivered in 2011.
