Switzerland makes Croisette comeback

Switzerland will be present on all fronts at Cannes with five films, an actor and a producer.
Jean-Luc Godard’s latest work, Film Socialism [+see also:
film profile], is in the Un Certain Regard sidebar of the Official Selection, along with Cristi Puiu’s Romanian/French/German/Swiss co-production Aurora [+see also:

Michelangelo Frammartino’s Italian-Swiss co-production The Four Times (Ventura Films) will screen in the in the Directors' Fortnight, as will the documentary Corn In Parliament (Saga Production) by Jean-Stéphane Bron (My Brother Is Getting Married [+see also:

Meanwhile, Anne Walser, who produced Denis Rabaglia’s Marcello Marcello [+see also:
film profile], will take part in the Producers On The Move event (see news) organised at Cannes by European Film Promotion.
Finally, Joel Basman (Shooting Star 2008) plays the lead role in Philip Koch’s German film Picco, which has been selected in the Directors’ Fortnight.
