Vallanzasca first title for Fox-Fortissimo
Currently in post-production, Michele Placido’s Vallanzasca is the first title of the multi-picture agreement signed by Fox International Productions (FIP) and Fortissimo Films, in which the independent film sales company will sell a series of high-profile, original-language films for the US major.
As per the announcement at Cannes, Fortissimo will handle international sales on mutually agreed FIP projects in the majority of territories. For Vallanzasca , Fortissimo holds all rights excluding Italy, France, Germany and Scandinavia, while Fox will distribute Vallanzasca in Italy and Germany in autumn.
Based on the life of notorious mobster Renato Vallanzasca (see news ), Placido’s film features a European cast with Kim Rossi Stuart (Romanzo Criminale) in the lead, alongside Paz Vega (Sex and Lucia [+see also:
