Mediaset buys Cecchi Gori film library
Mediaset has paid €17.5m to buy up a package of over 500 films placed on action by the insolvency expert of Finmavi, the former company of Vittorio Cecchi Gori.
The acquisition by the company of the Berlusconi media empire includes free and pay TV rights and numerous films with the stars of past and current Italian cinema, such as Vittorio Gassman, Nino Manfredi, Paolo Villaggio, Renato Pozzetto, Carlo Verdone, Leonardo Pieraccioni, Antonio Albanese and Diego Abatantuono.
