Kaufman, Van Dormael to teach doc filmmaking at Biografilm

"Making Documentary Films: Production, Directing, Screenwriting" is the title of the Masterclass that during the Biografilm Festival 2010 (Bologna, June 9-14) will offer students the chance to learn from producers, directors and the protagonists of biographical documentaries programmed at the festival, at lesssons that will be held in Italian and English.
The lessons will come from renowned filmmakers and professionals such as John Scheinfeld (producer, screenwriter and director of numerous docs, including The U.S. vs. John Lennon), Jeremiah Zagar (editor, director of In A Dream and president of the 2010 Biografilm Festival), Dominic Ruiz (expert on digital imaging manipulation), Jaco Van Dormael (director, Toto the Hero, Mr. Nobody [+see also:

The case histories presented will offer an in-depth look at the dynamics of the various phases of making a documentary: from idea to screenplay, from preparation to production and editing; through to distribution and marketing.
