The first week of filming has wrapped on Saragossa-born director Paula Ortiz’s debut feature, De Tu Ventana a la Mía (“From Your Window To Mine”). This woman-centred drama, whose shoot will last seven weeks in different locations in Aragón, will star Maribel Verdú, Leticia Dolera and Luisa Gavasa.

Scripted by Ortiz, the film recounts the lives of three women who live in different eras and worlds. Young Violeta is shown in spring 1923, middle-aged Inés in summer 1940 and older woman Luisa in winter 1975.

The three women each suffer from loneliness, a situation they haven’t really chosen. When absence, loss and pain seize hold of them, they look for a vital meaning and certain happiness in an arid and hostile landscape. The three stories unfold in parallel.

Besides the three lead actresses, the cast also includes Roberto Alamo, Pablo Rivero, Ramón Barea, Luis Bermejo, Alex Angulo and Cristina Rota.

De Tu Ventana a la Mía is produced by Saragossa-based Amapola Films (for whom this is their first feature) and Montxo Armendáriz and Puy Oria’s Oria Films. The film’s executive producers are Armendáriz, Oria, Kike Mora and Raúl García, while Alta Films will handle Spanish distribution.
