Cinec 2010 looks at all dimensions of 3D
From September 18-20, Munich will host Cinec 2010, a huge seminar including conferences and workshops on all aspects of 3D. A total of 130 companies from 14 countries will be able to find out about the current state of technology, its applications and the way they affect all the stages in a film’s life, from shooting and editing to film circulation.
Particular emphasis will be placed on two themes: production in stereoscopic 3D and “digital workflows", i.e. the methods for optimising integration of new systems in digital film exhibition (from content management to projection).
The Saturday will focus entirely on the first of these themes and start with technical presentations and pre-visualisations. Professionals from the Bavaria region will then outline the services they offer in this field. Finally, experts will talk about the new trends and future technical developments to be made.
The following day will be dedicated to distribution, from stereoscopic projection tools to DVD remastering and the production of live and 3D broadcasts of events, in particular sports. Archiving and content distribution platforms will also be discussed.
