Fliegauf's Womb vying for Locarno’s Golden Leopard
Hungarian director Benedek Fliegauf is returning to the Locarno Film Festival, where he won top prize in the competitive Filmmakers of the Present section in 2007 with his experimental Milky Way. This year, he has been selected for the international competition at the 63rd edition of the Swiss event (August 4-14, 2010).
The director of Forest (Berlinale Forum 2003) and multiple award-winning Dealer (2004) will unveil the world premiere of his fourth feature, Womb [+see also:

Co-produced by Germany (64%), Hungary (25%) and France (10 %), Womb is scripted by Fliegauf and explores the themes of love and cloning (see news).
The film was produced by Razor Film Produktion for €3.66m. The budget included co-production support from Inforg Stúdió, A.S.A.P Films, ZDF/Arte, Arte France Cinéma and Boje Buck Produktion. International sales are being handled by The Match Factory.
