New look to German Cinema sidebar

The Berlin International Film Festival, the German Film Academy and German Films have a joint project. As of 2011, the German Cinema sidebar will consist of the films that were pre-selected by the committees of the German Film Academy for nomination to the German Film Awards 2011.
Showing under the banner German Cinema – LOLA@Berlinale, the selected films will each be presented once in a festival cinema and be open to accredited professionals as well as to members of the German Film Academy eligible to participate in the nominations. The sidebar will continue to be an important component of the European Film Market, which has been offering its guests a compact and interesting annual review of German cinema for several years now through this showcase.
