film profile] – Italy’s submission for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar nomination – made its US premiere yesterday at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles when it opened the seventh edition of Cinema Italian Style, organized by Cinecittà Luce with the American Cinemateque.
"Our advertising campaign will continue until the nominations are announced,” said Cinecittà Luce President Roberto Cicutto. "Virzì’s film has all the elements of that American audiences like. It is a comedy about feelings and easily shared values, and features a top-notch cast".
Cinema Italian Style will screen 12 feature films through November 20, along with three documentaries and five shorts selected by Laura Delli Colli. The Italian showcase coincides with the American Film Market, which closes today.
