- From November 11, in Valencia, Spanish cinema faces up to the American giant with debates on strategies and co-productions
The Foundation for Audiovisual Research is organising a seminar entitled “Spanish cinema with respect to Hollywood” in Valencia from 11-15 November. The event is an opportunity for industry insiders to discuss the strategies that Spanish film should implement if it wants to survive in the face of competition from the American giant.
The programme includes conferences about protectionist policies for Spanish cinema; Hollywood competition from the distribution point of view; co-production and the challenges that face the industry today.
Representatives from Spain’s most important film industry associations, companies and institutions will take part, including the DG of ICAA (Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales), José Maria Otero and FAPAE president, Eduardo Campoy.
