Jacques Toubon, the former French minister for culture has been selected as France’s candidate for the presidency of Eurimages.
The election is likely to be held before the Eurimages board’s next scheduled meeting on 18 November when the issues at hand will include an analysis of co-production dossiers. To date, Toubon is the only candidate to have been officially announced by any of the 27 members of Eurimages. The presidency fell vacant after Gianni Massaro’s surprise resignation.
