BAFTA for young talents

The six year old BAFTA Scotland New Talent Awards, held every other year have just announced the Film Award categories and nominations for this years event. Set to take place on 24th November in Glasgow, the ceremony will be an opportunity to celebrate Scottish emerging talent in feature, short and documentary filmmaking.
Late Night Shopping was nominated in three categories: Best Feature film, Best director (Saul Mezstein) and Best Film craft (Mike Gunn). Gas Attack, winner of the Michael Powell Award for Best British Film at last year’s Edinburgh Film Festival, was also nominated in the Best feature film and Best director categories.
The two lead actors in Sweet Sixteen have both been nominated in their respective categories: Martin Compston for Best actor and Anne Marie Fulton for Best actress. Competing against Futton for Best actress in a feature film will be Kathleen McDermott for Morvern Callar.
