21/11/2002 - The Internet Bus is to tour Austria bringing the latest online and multimedia technology to younger members of the public

As part of Austria’s Netd@ys 2002 events, a special bus called the ibus (Internet Bus) which has been fitted out with the very latest in digital multimedia technology and the Internet, will travel around the country in order to introduce young children to these interesting and useful innovations. On board the ibus, kids will be able to use the Internet, take pictures with digital cameras and alter them by means of graphic programmes. They will also be able to mix or create sounds, e-mail or chat with their friends, download programmes and play multimedia games. Special workshops will be organised for school groups to make multimedia technology for educational purposes more user-friendly.
