- The young Scandinavian star of Himmelfall is chosen to represent his country at the next Shooting Stars in Berlin

The Norwegian Film Institute (NFI) has chosen one of the country’s most talented young actors, Kristoffer Jones, as their Shooting Star to be presented at the 2003 Berlinale.
The NFI has been a member of European Film Promotion (EFP), an umbrella organisation of various European film institutes and export companies from around 20 countries, since 1998. EFP created the Shooting Stars event six years ago at the Berlin Film Festival as a showcase for promoting the best and brightest of Europe’s young acting talents. The event guarantees the selected actors direct access to the world’s media, film industries and raises their professional profile with press conferences, and meetings with directors, producers and casting agents. Kristoffer Jones became popular after starring in a number of TV series and feature films and Norwegian audiences can currently enjoy seeing him in the hit movie, Himmelfall. This film was seen by some 75,000 Norwegians during its first five weeks.
