Critics laud Angela

- Roberta Torre's critically acclaimed third feature is released onto 40 French screens: proof of distributor MK2's faith in this film, released onto just 31 Italian screens last October

Italian director Roberta Torre’s third feature film, Angela is released today in France. Contrary to traditition, this film was well-received by French critics who are not known for their tenderness towards Italian cinema.
Angela is also the acting debut of Donatella Finocchiaro, a lawyer in everyday life. This is how “Le Monde” described Finocchiaro’s performance, “She shines with incredible natual light from beginning to end”. Weekly “Les Inrockuptibles” called Finocchiaro “superb” and monthly “Studio” described her work as “the very essence of a character imprisoned by her emotions”. MK2 Distribution will distribute Angela onto 40 French screens, nine more than the 31 of its Italian release on 31 October.
