Torre goes to Sundance
Roberta Torre is ready for Sundance, probably the world’s most celebrated independent film festival that was established by actor and director, Robert Redford and will unroll from 16-26 January 2003.
Angela was selected for competition in the prestigious World Cinema section at Sundance, alongside 24 other films from all over the world. This latest piece of good news comes on the heels of the excellent reception that Angela, got at the Tokyo Film Festival, where female lead, Donatella Finocchiaro won the best actress award. The film was also screened and acclaimed in Toronto and selected for Critics’ Fortnight in Cannes. Sundance is likely to prove an excellent North-American launch-pad for the Italian director.
