- The Noir in Festival wrapped this weekend with Denmark's Iben Hjelje and Ron Shelton winning, respectively, best actress and film. Neil Jordan was the People's Choice

This year’s Noir in Festival ended on 15 December with Danish actress Iben Hjejle taking home the best actress award for her work in Gamel maend i nye biler (Old Men in New Cars) by Lasse Spang Olsen. Ron Shelton won the “Black Lion” for best film with Dark Blue. Ron Shelton winning, respectively, the best actress and actor awards. Neil Jordan was the People’s Choice.
Audiences will remember Iben Hjejle, 30, for her work in films like Mifune – Dogma 3, High Fidelity and The Emperor’s New Clothes. The jury, presided over by British film critic Maxim Jakubowski, included Croatian actor Rade Serbedzija and Italian actor Luigi Lo Cascio. Chan-wook Park’s Sympathy for Mr. Bengeage won a special award while Irish film director, Neil Jordan was the People’s Choice for his acclaimed The Good Thief.
