Bring on the new
- For the second time, the festival will showcase the best of new German cinema with 10 new films by embryonic talents
For the second consecutive year “Perspectives of German Cinema is a major sidebar event at the Berlinale (6-16 February 2003). This year’s programme will showcase ten new films by as many young German directors, each of whom has the potential to become a major industry player in the future. The ten films selected include both documentaries like Bernau liegt am meer by Martina Doecker and Gruesse aus Dachau by Bernd Fischer that link Germany’s past with its present, and features like the inaugural film, Sie haben Knut by Stefan Krohmer, scheduled to premiere on 7 February.
