On 1 and 2 February, the Visions Festival in Galway, Ireland, will celebrate one of the masters of European cinema, Krzystof Kieslowski. The programme includes screenings, discussions, an exhibition of the Polish director’s personal memorabilia, and a master-class about film editing by Jacques Witta, the man who edited some of Kieslowski’s final films, including The Double Life of Veronika and Three Colours: Blue and Three Colours: Red.
Other creative talent who worked with Kieslowki will attend the Vision Festival. They include scriptwriter Krzysztof Piesiewicz, cinematographer Sławomir Idziak, Philippe Volter, and composer Zbigniew Priesner.
The following Irish filmmakers will also be in Galway and will take part in the discussions: Jim Sheridan, Paddy Breathnach and Gerry Stembridge.
