BERLINALE 2003 Jury

An "Atomic" decision

by 

- Canadian film director, Atom Egoyan, will preside over a jury that includes Italy's, Anna Galiena, Germany's Martina Gedeck, US director, Kathryn Bigelow and French producer Humbert Balsan

Dieter Kosslick, the artistic director of the 53rd Berlin Film Festival has chosen his jury.
The president is Canadian film director, Atom Egoyan (Ararat) and his jury includes Italian actress Anna Galiena, whom international audiences will remember for The Hairdresser’s Husband by Patrice Leconte and more recently in Gabriele Muccino’s Come te nessuno mai.
Germany’s Martina Gedeck, the star of Sandra Nettelbeck’s Mostly Martha [+see also:

has a well-deserved reputation for artistic excellence at home and abroad. The jury also includes Kathryn Bigelow (K19: the Widowmaker and The Weight of Water) and Geoffrey Gilmore the artistic director of the Sundance Film Festival and currently in charge of creating the UCLA’s film library.
French film producer Humbert Balsan shook up the last Cannes Film Festival when he presented Palestinian film director Elia Suleiman’s Divine Intervention while Idrissa Ouedrago, from Burkina Faso, has taken part in two former editions of hte Berlinale and his most recent film was the ensemble 11'09"01 [+see also:
