Staff cuts at Zentropa
Danish independent production company, Zentropa announced it was cutting its staff by 25 per cent. As a result 20 people will lose their jobs. In an interview with Danish daily newspaper, “Politiken”, Zentropa’s financial director Peter Garde said the company was letting staff go because all of its current productions had been completed and no new ones had been assigned. He added that plans for Zentropa to produce a new Tv series for the Danish state broadcaster, Denmarks Radio – DR and TV2, had fallen through.
