German director Tom Tykwer (Lola Runs and Heaven [+see also:

film profile]) announced he was taking a welcome break after having made four films in five years. “I don’t want to get drowned in the film business, filmmaking is something you do for life and I was about to loose my roots,” he said.
He does have one project in the pipeline: make a CD with a group of friends in the US. Tykwer, who wrote the musical scores for each of his film, said, “This time it will only be music without a film.”
