- The Cervantes Institute presents till 27 February, 7 films never distributed in Greece to discover Spanish cinema

A seven-week tribute to contemporary Spanish cinema is currently on at the Athens branch of the Cervantes Institute, who also organised this event, until 27 February. Entitled “The other Odysseys: Voyages without Ithaca to the Spanish cinema” the programme includes seven films that will be screened in Spanish and without Greek subtitles. Several of the selected films have never, and are unlikely ever to be distributed in mainstream Greek cinemas. The titles include El Dorado by Carlos Saura (1988), Don Juan in Hell by Gonzalo Suarez (1991), Nobody will speak of us when we are dead by Agustin Diaz Yanes (1995), Guantanamera by Thomas Gutierez Alea (1995), Hi, Are you alone by Iciar Bollain (1996), Finnisterre by Xavier Villaverde (1998) and A place in the world by Adolfo Aristarain.
