Fortnight preps underway
- Catherine Legave takes over as head of prestigious Cannes sidebar event. Deadline for submissions is 31 March
Catherine Legave is the new head of the Société des Réalisatuers de Films (SRF), the organisers of Directors’ Fortnight, the prestigious competitive sidebar event at the Cannes Film Festival. She succeeds Michèle Soulignac.
Legave is currently employed by the Ile-de-France regione after 12 years as a selector with the CNC. She will have the job of choosing the titles for the 35th edition of the Fortnight, that will run from 15-25 May. Those who wish to take part have until 31 March and are invited to download the rules and regulations of this event from the official Fortnight web site.
