Seven new titles have officially joined French international seller Kinology’s line-up, bringing to 16 the number of features to be showcased by the company at the European Film Market at the Berlinale (February 10-20, 2011).

Grégoire Melin’s team will launch pre-sales of Living is Better Than Dying, the forthcoming comedy by Pascal Chaumeil (Heartbreaker [+see also:

film profile]), which is in pre-production. The director will reunite with Romain Duris and Julie Ferrier, who will star alongside Marion Cotillard in a story centred on a tactless hotel employee who pretends to be a screenwriter and imagines a film where the characters resemble the people he meets in real life.

Kinolology has also announced several films in post-production: Mexican director Everardo Gout’s Days of Grace (co-produced by France’s ARP); Frank Henry’s French/Luxemburg/Belgian co-production De Force (“By Force”, see news), starring Isabelle Adjani and Eric Cantona; Delphine Kreuzer’s Dubai Flamingos (see news), featuring Vanessa Paradis and Sergi Lopez; and Samuel Benchetrit’s Chez Gino, starring José García, Anna Mouglalis and Ben Gazzara.

Also joining the line-up are two French 3D projects: the documentary Hurricane by directorial duo Andy Byatt (Deep Blue) and Cyril Barbançon, which is in pre-production; and Mune by Alexandre Heboyan and Benoît Philippon (Onyx Films – in production).

Deals will be struck for Antoine Charreyron’s The Prodigies (see news – produced by Fidélité films and Onyx Films), which will be ready in spring; and David Cronenberg’s project in pre-production Cosmopolis, based on Don DeLillo’s same-named novel and featuring Robert Pattinson (produced by Alfama Films and Prospero Pictures). Sales will also be negotiated for two films to be delivered at the end of 2011: Juan Solanas’s Upside Down, starring Jim Sturgess and Kirsten Dunst (Onyx Films); and Mathieu Kassovitz’s Rebellion.

Films in post-production also include Carles Torrens’s English-language Spanish fantasy flick Emergo, scripted by Rodrigo Cortés; and Emmanuel Mouret’s French comedy The Art of Love, starring François Cluzet (produced by Moby Dick Films and Partizan).

Finally, Kinology will present market screenings of Thierry Klifa’s His Mother’s Eyes (see news), starring Catherine Deneuve; Bruno Chiche’s Small World [+see also:
