London critics laud Network, Speech

by 

David Fincher’s The Social Network pipped Tom Hooper’s The King's Speech to the post at the 31st London Film Critics’ Circle Awards, winning four gongs to the latter’s three.

The Social Network won Film of the Year, Director of the Year for Fincher, British Actor in a Supporting Role for Andrew Garfield and Screenwriter of the Year for Aaron Sorkin.

The King’s Speech claimed Best Actor for Colin Firth, British Director of the Year for Tom Hooper and The Attenborough Award for British Film of the Year.

Kristin Scott Thomas was presented the Dilys Powell Award for Excellence in Cinema for her outstanding contribution to cinema.
