A public hearing on Media’s future

Following the over 2000 contributions to the online consultation launched last autumn by the European Commission on the future of the Media Programme, Media’s head of unit Aviva Silver announced yesterday in Berlin that three major meetings will be held in the upcoming months to discuss the Programme’s evolution after 2014.

The first public hearing (March 18 - Brussels) will be followed by a second meeting focused on the future strategy for the training sector (March 21-22 –Brussels), while the third one will take place on May 16, in Cannes.

In order to register for the first meeting, professionals are requested to send an email to eac-media-public-hearing@ec.europa.eu. Only 450 participants are allowed. An online broadcast of this public hearing is to be confirmed.
