July’s Future on NonStop’s Berlin pick ups

Scandinavian distributor NonStop Entertainment acquired seven titles in Berlin. All of them had previously screened at Sundance.

Among them is Miranda July’s competition film The Future [+see also:

represented by The Match Factory.

July won the Camera d’or in Cannes 2005 for Me and You and Everyone We Know. NonStop will release it in the Nordic and Baltic countries.

Three other titles were picked up for the same territories. I Melt with You is a drama thriller by Mark Pellington starring Jeremy Piven, Thomas Jane and Robe Lowe. Magnolia has US rights. Stealth Film Sales negotiated the deal. Maryam Keshavarz’s Circumstance won the Sundance Audience Award. Funny Balloons is the sales agent. Page One: A Year Inside New York Times is a documentary film by Andrew Rossi focusing on the famous US newspaper. Magnolia has US rights.

Another Happy Day by Sam Levinson won the Screenwriting Award for Best Manuscript in Sundance. NonStop Entertainment picked up rights for the Nordic countries. Bobby Fisher Against the World is Liz Garbus’ documentary film about the world famous chess player. Ealing Studios handles world rights for HBO. NonStop acquired it for Scandinavia and the Baltics.

The Greatest Movie Ever Sold is the new documentary film by Morgan Spurlock (Supersize Me). The US director explores the phenomenon of product placement, ads and marketing in a documentary entirely financed by product placement. Putting his integrity up for sale to the highest bidder, the goal is to create a blockbuster documentary, a "docbuster". Nonstops acquired rights from Content Film for Scandinavia and the Baltics.

NonStop picked up two feature films after Sundance, both sold by Protagonist Pictures: the award-winning Tyrannosaur by Paddy Considine, and Richard Ayoade's Submarine [+see also:
