Artur Brauner gets Berlinale Kamera

This evening, 11 February, legendary German film producer and native-son of Berlin, Artur Brauner, will be presented with the Berlinale Kamera. This special award traditionally goes to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the German film industry.
Brauner’s long and illustrious career includes titles like Mädchen in Uniform (1958) with Romy Schneider, It happened in Broad Daylight (1958) with Gert Fröbe and The White Rose (1981/82). His Europa Europa (1989/90) was nominated for a best screenplay Oscar in 1992.
Brauner’s latest film. His latest film Babij Jar will have its German premiere after tonight’s ceremony.
