Penned by the director and winner of the National Film and Moving Image Centre - CNC’s Best First Screenplay Trophy, the storyline revolves around a Chinese woman who decides to leave her husband. In the wake of this event, several characters will try to break their solitude over the space of one day and night.

On the trail of an investigator irresistibly attracted to this woman he’s been following at a distance for months, we discover a Chinese executive wandering in the city, a couple of magicians undergoing a crisis, a waitress trying hard to achieve some sort of balance in her life...Some will find themselves, others not.

Produced by Anthony Doncque for TS Productions in partnership with Qualia Films, Les Jeux des Nuages et de la Pluie has received a €500,000 advance on receipts from the CNC, a pre-acquisition from Canal + and backing from the Ile-de-France and Aquitaine regions.

Scheduled to last until April 22, shooting will kick off in the Paris area before relocating to Dordogne, then wrapping in Paris. The film will be released in France by Rezo Films in the first half of 2012, while international sales are still under negotiation.
