Alto Adige Film Commission launches audiovisual fund
From today, March 3, through March 18 it will be possible to apply for financing from the new audiovisual fund with which the newly founded BLS Südtirol Alto Adige Film Commission will support high-quality documentaries, films and television series. The €5m fund is made available by the Autonomous Province of Bolzano.
Only applicants who have had a consultancy interview with BLS can participate.
Applications can request funding for film and/or television productions independently of where they are based. The projects will be selected on the basis of their quality by a commission of experts. The priority requisite is that from 100-150% of the contribution is invested in the territory. It is possible to obtain maximum funding of €1.5m per project. The system is similar to the regional funds of Germany and Austria.

Besides the fund, for productions who decide to shoot in Alto Adige, BLS offers a series of services, including databases of locations and crew members, help gaining shooting permits, and legal and financial consultants.
