Today, 14 February, is Saint Valentine’s Day and the first day of the 19th International Love Film Festival (FIFA) in Mons, Belgium – (14-21 Feb).
FIFA will open tonight with the screening of Le Coeur des Hommes by Marc Esposito, starring Marc Lavoine, Gérard Darmon, Jean-Pierre Darroussin and Bernard Campan.
The programme also includes a number of Professional Meetings . On 17 February actors, producers and casting directors will meet to elaborate a draft contract for the Belgian industry, in collaboration with the French Community in Belgium’s Film and Audiovisual Center. On Wednesday 19 February, the SBC (Belgian Society of Cinematographers) will hold their general assembly during Belgian cinematographers’ conference organised as part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the invention of Cinemascope.
