Vincent Wants to Sea wins Golden Lola for Best Film

The 61st Lola-German Film Awards were presented last Friday evening at the FriedrichstadtPalast in Berlin, with the Golden Lola for Best Film going to Ralf Huettner’s Vincent Wants to Sea [+see also:

, in which a young man with Tourette’s syndrome goes on a road trip, accompanied by his friends from the clinic and followed by his father and doctor, to fulfil his dead mother’s last wish to see the sea one last time.

The box office hit (launched on April 22, 2010 by Constantin, it surpassed one million admissions), which has already won several awards and was nominated in five Lola categories (see news), also earned Best Actor for Florian David Fitz (who also wrote the script).
