Austrian state broadcaster, ORF has bought “Wien Film”. The deal includes a package of film licenses as well as the “Vienna Film” brand. ORF are now the proud owners of 45 films, 34 documentaries and short films, and 1.043 reels of documentary material, as well as numerous scripts and screenplays. All the material will be stored in the ORF Archive.
Monika Lindner, the director general of ORF emphasised the importance of this archive material, and the fact that it will all now remain in Austria.
