Online applications open for Apulia FC’s screenwriting workshop

by

Online applications are open for the third edition of Apulia Audiovisual Workshop PugliaExperience 2011, an international workshop in film and television scriptwriting for 16 screenwriters from the Euro-Mediterranean region, organised by the Apulia Film Commission, promoted by the Apulia Region and financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

The workshop, intended for screenwriters aged between 18 and 35 years, will last three weeks and aims to foster the creation of stories set in Apulia.

Run by director-screenwriter Amedeo D’Adamo, who founded the Los Angeles Film School, and co-led by producer Nevina Satta, the free, English-language workshop is structured around 104 hours of lessons focusing on the American technique of script & pitch and an individual work module enabling each participant to develop and draft the projects to be presented at the end of the course. The programme also includes six days of location scouting in the most beautiful places in the region.

On the last day of the workshop, there will be individual pitching sessions between each of the 16 screenwriters and about 30 international producers who will be in Apulia for the second edition of the International Mediterranean Co-production Forum.

The Apulia Film Commission will select one of the stories composed during PugliaExperience and will sign a €10,000 contract with the writer to fund the idea’s development into a screenplay.
