Advance on receipts for Claire Simon and Isild Le Besco
Produced by Les Films d’Ici, Gare du Nord, Remix, which will be Claire Simon’s fourth feature film, is one of six projects selected at the beginning of July by the advance on receipts committee of the National Film and Moving Image Centre (CNC).
The director, who was selected three times at Cannes (in the section Cinémas en France in 1997 with Sinon, oui and at the Directors’ Fortnight in 2006 and 2008 with Ca brûle [+see also:

The CNC has also promised an advance to L’occasion by Isild Le Besco (a Sangsho production) who co-wrote the script with Georgina Tacou. The film will be the director’s fourth feature. She was in competition at the Locarno Film Festival last year with the bitter work Bas-fonds [+see also:

Advances also went to O Gebo e a Sombra by the perennial Portuguese master Manoel de Oliveira (a French minority production which was piloted for Mact Productions), to Renoir by Gilles Bourdos (news - Fidélité Films), to Tu honoreras ta mère by Brigitte Rouän (see article - Agat Films) and to the documentary project France, Terra incognita by Dominique Marchais (Zadig Films).
