Baden-Württemberg’s regional funds MFG Filmförderung has allocated around €4 million towards 21 audiovisual projects, which include the three-part film series Baron Münchhausen by Andreas Linke, a project of the company teamWorx which received the largest amount - €500,000 - and ten feature films, as well as two short films.

Contributions towards script development worth €25,000 to €30,000 were granted to Beschützer der Diebe, an adaptation of the children’s bestseller by Andreas Steinhöfel, romantic comedy-cum-political satire Omar und die 72 Jungfrauen by Olaf F. Wehling, 3D animated family film Die Biene Maja, of which Studio Soi is in charge, and to the drama UnterWölfen, which is currently being written by Susanne Schneider (who was recently behind the camera with Le jour viendra).
