Rome Film Festival: this year Focus on Great Britain

The Focus section of the next Rome International Film Festival Festival (October 27 – November 4) will be dedicated to British cinematography. It will feature director Terence Davies and David Hare, musician Michael Nyman and writer Hanif Kureishi, who will meet the audience in two events moderated by English filmmaker Jonathan Romney. The four, together with Tilda Swinton, have selected the twelve titles which will make up the retrospective entitled "Punks and Patriots", made in collaboration with the BFI London Film Festival.

The Rome Film Festival’s Focus will also screen seven recently produced British titles, among which Page Eight [+see also:

Simon J. Lycett, who for years has been working with the British royal family, and was in charge of the flower arrangements for Prince William and Kate’s wedding as well as the flower arrangements in films such as Four Weddings and a Funeral, will add a unique touch to the red carpet with an arrangement which reinterprets the Union Jack, made together with London’s Chelsea Flower Show.
