A record Ligabue Campovolo: Italy’s most watched concert film

It is the first 3D concert film made in Italy and it has already beaten every record: Ligabue Campovolo - Il film in 3D is – after just eight days since its release, distributed by Medusa Film - Italy’s most watched concert film ever with takings of €1,360,848.

The film covers the historical concert given by rock-singer Ligabue on July 16, 2011 in Reggio Emilia in front of 120 thousand viewers and by far overtakes the results of concert films such as Shine a Light by Martin Scorsese, about the Rolling Stones (€306,000), U2 3D (€195,540) and Glee: 3D Concert Movie (€133,919).

Ligabue campovolo - Il film in 3D is directed by Cristian Biondani (concert) and Marco Salom (docufilm), and is produced by Giovanni Battista Tondo for EventiDigitali Films (in co-production with Riservarossa, F&P Group, Lumière & Co. and Zoo Aperto). The sound is mixed by Corrado Rustici in the George Lucas Studios in California.
