The Medien- undFilmstiftung NRW presented its results after the first year with Petra Müller at the head of the Rhine-based institution, during which 433 projects were financed with €35.7m.

The bulk of the funding went towards financing 133 big-screen productions with €30.5m, reaching the figure of 954 days of film shooting in North Rhine-Westphalia. This means that for every euro contributed by the institution in the form of funding, €2.44 were invested in the region.
