“It's good for exposure,” said TrustNordisk Managing Director Rikke Ennis, attending the European Film Market with head of sales Susan Wendt. “Not that we actually need it for Arcel – after showing a promo-reel at Cannes, his film was signed for most terrritories.”

“Berlin and Cannes are our most important markets; these days, 50% of our business comes from pre-sales, and Berlin is an excellent place for this – all the right people are here - so we have brought six brand-new titles, some with scripts and credits only, adding a few newer productions for closed screenings.”

Included in TrustNordisk’s 19-film catalogue for Berlin is Danish Oscar-winning director Susanne Bier’s All You Need Is Love, a romantic drama shot in Italy starring Pierce Brosnan and Trine Dyrholm. “Most countries are pre-sold after Cannes, we are still missing the US and UK which will most likely be finalised here,” Ennis said.

Two Nordic veteran directors, Denmark’s Lars von Trier, who has not yet started shooting his Nymphomaniac, and Sweden’s Jan Troell, who is readying his Truth and Consequence – starring Jesper Chrisensen and Pernilla August - for a December premiere, are also on the pre-sales list.
