Written by Alain Gagnol, Phantom boy's screenplay features a mysterious disfigured gangster who wounds Alex, a police inspector trying to catch him. Unable to move from his hospital bed after the incident, Alex befriends an 11-year-old patient called Leo, who is able to come out of his body. Like a ghost, invisible to all, he flies off, through the walls... The gangster is threatening the town with a computer virus, but thanks to Leo's extraordinary powers, Alex will be able to pick up the investigation where he left off...

Produced by Folimage (who also have Tante Hilda by Jacques-Rémy Girerd in post-production), Phantom boy will be co-produced by the Belgian company Lunanime, by Rhône-Alpes Cinéma, France 3 Cinéma, and Diaphana (who will distribute the film in France). The film has been pre-bought by Canal + et Ciné+ and is supported by the Centre National du Cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC). Its creation will start in September for a planned release in December 2015.
