Meeting at the Border in Tesin

by

- Applications for the co-production forum for Czech, Slovak, Polish, and Hungarian projects are open until March 30.

The fourth edition of the co-production forum Meeting at the Border will be held from April 30 to May 2, 2012, as part of the 14th Cinema at the Border film festival to promote Polish, Czech, Slovak, and Hungarian films, organised on the Polish-Czech border in the towns of Tesin and Czech Tesin. Until March 30, directors, producers, and distributors from these four countries are invited to send in their projects. The festival will host a project pitching session.

Hungarian participation is, since last year, a novelty at an event that allows filmmakers to present their ongoing projects and to network to find co-producers. Meeting at the Border gives special attention to previously unseen projects, as well as to directors and producers submitting their first or second project, by organising a specific consulting session with well-known producers and international sales agents on May 2. Participants with more experience will also be able to take part in this session within the limit of available seats.

Each year since its creation, the co-production forum attracts over 50 participants. Previous editions have proven to be successful, with several partnerships being struck up as a result of the event.

Meeting at the Border is organised with the support of the MEDIA Desk Poland and the Polish Cinema Institute (PISF).
