Apulia Film Commission funds 18 film projects

- The Apulian foundation is supporting 6 feature films, 5 documentaries, 6 shorts and a video clip for a total investment of €573,000

18 film projects have received a contribution from the Apulia Film Commission within the framework of the first tranche of its 2012 fund, destined for film productions to be made in Puglia, for a total investment of €573,000. These include six feature films, five documentaries, six short films and a video clip.

The six feature films which have received funding are L'amore è imperfetto, first work by Francesca Muci (photo) work on which is in progress between Bari and Torre Giaceto (R&C Produzioni), which receives €120,000 plus €32,000 towards hospitality; Ci vediamo domani by Andrea Zaccariello (Smile Production - Moviemax Media Group), €90,000 for 40 days shooting in the provinces of Taranto; Eppideis by Matteo Miti (Habanafilm), €30,000 for 25 days of shooting in Monte Sant'Angelo; Il venditore di medicine by Antonio Morabito (Classic - Peacock Film), 70,000 plus 29,000 towards hospitality for 30 days in Bari; Amiche da morire by Giorgia Farina (Andrea Leone Films - Rai Cinema), €100,000 plus €36,000 towards hospitality for 45 days of shooting between Bari and the provinces; Tre uomini in buca nove by Francesco Ranieri Martinotti (Rodeo Drive), €90,000 plus €32,000 towards hospitality for 40 days’ work between Taranto and Borgo Egnazia.

A further four feature films have received a contribution towards hospitality through the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund): Alessio by Alessandro Piva (Seminal Film) gets €30,000; Giraffada by Rani Massalha (Lumière & Co - Mact Productions), €28,000; Controra by Rossella De Venuto (Interlinea Film - Ripple world pictures), €28,000; Ruby Valentino, divo dei divi by Nico Cirasola (Mediterranea Film), €28,000. The projects to receive funding from the ERDF towards hospitality are 14 in total (eight feature films, five shorts and a documentary) for a total investment of €279,000.
