Writer/director Haggis said: "Third Person is a script where life can change on the turn of the page. It is a project that Liam and I identified to work on together and then finding the right financier became the key that we were looking for to unlock what we hope is a great film."

Corsan World Sales President Pascal Borno said: “Over the past two years we have really been able to plant our flag in the ground by bringing films to buyers with top directors and stars that will succeed in the international marketplace. Our focus has been on quality rather than quantity and the result speaks for itself.”

The fully integrated international film financing, production and sales group Corsan has four other high-profile projects in Cannes: Emperor which reunites Tamahori and writer Michael Thomas from The Devil’s Double. The thriller, starring Dominic Cooper, is set to start filming this autumn in Spain, Belgium and Germany.

The award-winning director of The Killing Fields Joffe will finish his action adventure filmSingularity this summer, which is set in Australia and India. Josh Hartnett (Pearl Harbor) and Bipasha Basu (Dhoom: 2) play the leads.

Meanwhile, director Mark Steven Johnson (Daredevil, Ghost) has now completed the shooting of Killing Season co-starring Robert De Niro and John Travolta.
