Digitalization: the norm for small businesses
- Government approves law on transferability of tax credits for the digitalization of movie theatres
The approval of the law on transferability of tax credit for the digitalization of movie theatres was inserted in the “Development” decree approved by the Council of Ministers. It was announced by Mariella Troccoli, head of the Directorate General of MiBac film, during the Giornate Professionali Estive “Ciné” (Professional Summer Days – Ciné) in Riccione.
This measure, which allows the sale of tax credits to companies which supply technology or banks, facilitates the digitalization of cinema such that even the small businesses will have the possibility to benefit.
In Riccione Gianantonio Furlan, delegate of digitalization for Anec, pointed out that there are still 2,100 screens left to digitalize out of a total 3,800. “By 2013 movies will no longer be supplied in film. We have reached agreements with the principal players – Cinemeccanica, Barco, Ehome Italy, Christie, Prevost, Nec, Sony Italy – to lower costs and personalize modes of payment”.
