Venice: jury confirmed of the Orizzonti and Opera Prima "Luigi De Laurentiis"

The selection of the international jury of the Orrizonti session and Venice Debut Film ''Luigi De Laurentiis'' Award of the 69th Venice Film Festival (August 29 - September 8) has been made.
Presided over by actor Pierfrancesco Favino, the Horizons Jury will comprise Amsterdam Film Museum director Sandra den Hamer, English videoartist of Bengali origin Runa Islam, US producer Jason Kliot, Lebanese actress-director Nadine Labaki, New York-based Macedonian director Milcho Manchevski, and the Iranian Amir Naderi. The Jury will allocate three awards: Orrizonti Award for Best Film, Special Award of the Orizzonti Jury and Orizzonti Award for Best Short.
President of the Jury of the Venezia Opera Prima ''Luigi De Laurentiis'' Award will be Indian director-producer Shekhar Kapur will be composed of the French-Greek film critic and scholar Michel Demopoulos, actress Isabella Ferrari, US writer-director Matt Reeves, and French DJ-film producer Bob Sinclar. The jury will honour debut features in various sessions of the competitive festival, the Leone del Futuro and a prize of $100,000 will be offered by the Filmauro of Aurelio and Luigi De Laurentiis, which will be subdivided into equal parts between directors and producers.
