Pula sets world record for 3D screening

by

- The Croatian national Pula Film Festival (July 21-28) set two world records on Tuesday night (July 24) with the screening of the first Croatian 3D film Accidental Passer-by in Arena

Jozo Patljak's competition entry Accidental Passer-by (Slučajni prolaznik) screened at a distance of 73.6 metres, which surpasses all film screenings held thus far, as well as the configuration settings of the technology. In addition, a viewing angle of 60 degrees was achieved, covering the entire auditorium at the Arena in its full capacity.

Thanks to these technical settings, it was possible for 5,920 spectators to attend the screening, the largest audience at a 3D screening ever recorded in the world. The Pula Film Festival is famous for the Arena and is the most popular national film festival in the world - total admissions last year surpassed 77,000.
