“Cartoon Forum” in Italy
The Cartoon Forum, organised for the last 15 years with the support of the MEDIA Programme, is one of the European animation field’s most important events since it provides a forum for producers to outsource financing possibilities for European TV animation projects.
This year’s Cartoon Forum is scheduled to take place in Varese, Italy from 17-20 September 2003. Producers are given the opportunity to present their projects to a large audience of potential investors that includes broadcasters and co-producers. Only one European project (of 26 minutes’ duration or less) per production company is allowed. Projects of 120 minutes or over must be presented in co-operation with two other Cartoon member-states. The fee for taking part is Euros800, (accommodation included) and the deadline for applications is 29 April 2003.
